THE BIG UPDATE AT MAGNOLIA CMS
Magnolia CMS 6.1
Magnolia releases one of the most comprehensive product updates in its company’s history.
Magnolia 6.1 strengthens its position in the market with improved usability, an app-based working pattern and a neural network. The user interface has been further developed into a modern looking interface where functionality for authors meets elegant visual style. On each page of the Magnolia author interface, the search bar offers a full-text search with access to the entire content, independent of the app. It can be used as a starting point for many activities. In conjunction with artificial intelligence (AI), Magnolia uses deep-leaning to evaluate search results and optimize their display.
In addition, Magnolia 6.1 enables tagging of photos through image recognition and thus finds related images. Automated tagging reduces manual work and makes it easier for users to find relevant image assets.
1. USER INTERFACE
The redesigned user interface has a bright, modern and relaxed “look and feel”. The authors are guided in their interaction by expressive navigation elements, clear lines, boxes and shapes and the new search bar in the middle of the page.
2. CONTEXT-BASED SEARCH
The simple search via filters limits the number of results and adapts relevant suggestions in real time. In addition, Magnolia has an AI-based context-sensitive search that learns from the user's behavior and search pattern.
3. IMAGE RECOGNITION
Magnolia's image recognition detects and tags assets automatically. This makes it easier and faster to find the asset you are looking for.
1. HEADLESS CMS
New developer functionalities allow the easy use of Magnolia CMS as a headless CMS. Content can be delivered with only a few lines of code via REST.
2. NEW UI-FRAMEWORK
App mechanics and configurations are simplified. Little custom/user-defined code enables easier and faster personalization and deployment.
3. PUBLICATION OF CERTAIN PATHS
Recipients can be configured to publish only one specific path in a workspace. This functionality simplifies the work of the authors.
Furthermore there were many additional "small" improvements.
The aim is to combine explicit and implicit personalization. From project start to project end an agile freedom of action and fast adaptability should prevail. Magnolia 6.1 is one of the fastest content management systems on the market and has a clear unique selling proposition.
